Dear Northern Arizona Chapter of
Arizona Dressage Association, Members, Guests & Sponsors,
Looking back at our 2017, our NAC of ADA Dressage Schooling Show year was the best year so far! We have had the most participation with new riders and horses, since the newly elected board of three years ago. We are pleased to have received so much interested participants from all over Arizona and we are looking forward to another successful year in 2018.
The NAC of ADA is happy to announce that we have contracted with The Santori Ranch for another exciting year! Santori Ranch is located at 955 W Road 2 North, Chino Valley, AZ. We are so excited to join efforts with Santori Ranch once again! Treasa and Marco Santori have been working non-stop since they purchased this new venture. They have made it easy for parking by entering the facilities on the west side with its own entrance. Currently, there is a brand new 20-stall barn being built to accommodate all of your overnight needs. We are so proud to represent the dressage world at Santori Ranch and look forward for many more years to come.
We thank all the 2017 riders, participants, volunteers and sponsors that have worked endlessly making this past year such as success. Also, I would like to personally thank our 2018 NAC of ADA Board Members: Cameron English – Vice President, Anne Callahan – Treasurer, Jacki McKinney-Secretary, Marlena Obrzut – Technical Director, and our newest elected Director At Large Rebecca “Becky” Konkel.
This year we have selected the following dates and judges:"
May 20, 2018: L-Judge “Missy Gilliland”
August 26, 2018: S-Judge “Terry Kemp”
October 7, 2018: L-Judge “Michell Combs”
Clinics: By popular demand, we will be bringing Paula Paglia back up the hill to Carol Lands arena. (Dates will be announced). Also, we have Dr. Gail Hoff-Carmona of Los Alamos Dressage, (currently trains out of Canada Larga Ranch in Ventura, CA) USDF Gold, Silver & Bronze Medalist, “S” Dressage Judge & “R” Western Dressage Judge, scheduled for November 4, 2018. As quote to leave you with:
Soft feel is a private conversation between horse and rider without words, like music, like dance.
Soft feel is the moment of truth between contact and release.
Soft feel is a handshake horse and rider as partners.
Soft feel is which horses understand and respect.
Soft feel achieved through light physical touch and spiritual energy
See you soon!
